YOUR SKIN, PROPERLY UNDERSTOOD

Advanced Skin Treatments in Lytham

Skin rarely fits neatly into one box. It can be dry and congested, sensitive yet dull, or suddenly behaving very differently from the skin you have always known.

You do not need to decide whether you need a peel, microneedling or radiofrequency before booking. We will assess your skin, listen to what is concerning you and choose the treatment, or combination of treatments, that makes the most sense for you.

Sometimes one carefully chosen treatment is enough. At other times, the best starting point may simply be improving or simplifying your skincare routine at home. We will not recommend a procedure if we believe the right products and consistent daily care are more likely to make the difference you need.

COLLAGEN. REPAIR. RENEWAL.

Help Your Skin Rebuild Itself

Microneedling is our most popular skin treatment because it can help with so many different concerns. Pigmentation, uneven texture, dry or dull skin, enlarged pores and fine lines can all benefit. Even oily skin can respond well, as microneedling may help improve overall skin balance and regulate excess sebum production.

It encourages fresh skin renewal at the surface while stimulating new collagen underneath. Once the initial redness has settled, your skin can look fresher and smoother after the first treatment, then continue improving over the following weeks.

We also take time to help your skin recover before you leave. Ice globes, a cool hydrating sheet mask and LED repair light are used to calm heat and redness, so the immediate reaction is often brief and manageable.

Microneedling can also be combined with radiofrequency, a peel, dermaplaning, NCTF 135 HA or polynucleotides. We select what will genuinely benefit your skin rather than using the same combination for everyone.

FOR DULL, ROUGH OR CONGESTED SKIN

When Your Skin Needs a Fresh Start

A chemical peel can be a lovely choice when your skin looks dull, feels rough, becomes congested or your makeup no longer sits as smoothly as it used to.

The word “peel” sounds more dramatic than many of these treatments actually are. We offer different strengths, including gentle options with little or no visible shedding. The right peel can brighten the complexion, smooth texture, soften fine lines and improve the appearance of pigmentation or blemishes.

If your skin barrier is irritated or overly sensitive, a peel may not be the right starting point. We may recommend calming the skin and improving your home routine first.

FOR SKIN THAT FEELS LESS FIRM

Firm Things Up Without Adding Volume

Sometimes the concern is not lost facial volume. The features still look balanced, but the skin itself feels softer, less elastic or a little less supported than it once did.

Radiofrequency gently heats the deeper layers of the skin to encourage new collagen and improve firmness over time.

It is a comfortable treatment with little interruption to your usual routine.

When we need to work more intensively on laxity, texture or scarring, radiofrequency microneedling combines controlled needling with targeted heat.

When we want to address firmness and texture together, we combine radiofrequency with microneedling as two separate stages rather than using an all-in-one device. This allows us to control the needle depth and radiofrequency energy independently, keeping the treatment focused within the skin and avoiding unnecessary energy being delivered into the facial fat layer.

SMOOTH SKIN. INSTANTLY

The Treatment That Makes Everything Sit Better

Dermaplaning is a full facial treatment that leaves your skin looking noticeably smoother and brighter straight away. Using a sterile surgical blade, we carefully remove compacted dead skin cells and the fine, soft facial hair that can make the complexion appear dull.

Once that surface build-up has been removed, skincare can absorb more effectively and the skin reflects light beautifully. When you next apply your makeup, it glides on more evenly and has honestly never looked better.

It does not make facial hair grow back thicker, darker or faster. The follicle is not changed, so the hair returns exactly as it did before.

We complete every dermaplaning facial with replenishing hydration and LED light therapy. There is no downtime, so you leave looking fresh, smooth and glowing immediately.

FOR RED, REACTIVE OR INFLAMED SKIN

When Your Skin Needs Calming, Not Challenging

Not every skin concern needs stronger exfoliation or more stimulation. Sometimes the skin is already doing too much. It feels hot, looks red, breaks out easily or reacts to products that never caused a problem before.

Dr Platon uses cold plasma to help calm inflammation, support the skin’s natural repair processes and create a healthier environment at the surface. It can be particularly helpful for acne-prone, rosacea-prone or generally reactive skin, without needles or an aggressive treatment.

Cold plasma can also provide supportive care for skin affected by dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, certain fungal concerns and cold sore outbreaks. Kate is an Independent Nurse Prescriber and will assess the area properly, discuss any relevant medical history and advise whether Dr Platon is suitable or whether prescription treatment is also needed.

We often finish with soothing hydration and LED repair light, leaving the skin feeling calmer, cooler and properly cared for.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Skin Treatment Questions

How do I know which treatment to choose?

If you are unsure what your skin needs, book our Just For You Skin Treatment. We will assess your skin at the appointment and choose the most suitable techniques and products for you.

If you already know which specific treatment you would like, you can book it directly. Microneedling is not included within the Just For You appointment because it needs additional time and preparation, so this must be booked as a dedicated microneedling treatment.

Will I need a course of treatments?

Not always. Some clients visit regularly to maintain their skin, while others book a one-off treatment when they want to look especially fresh for a wedding, holiday or special occasion.

Dermaplaning and our Just For You Skin Treatment can give a lovely immediate refresh. Concerns such as acne scarring, pigmentation, persistent congestion or loss of firmness usually respond better to a planned course.

If you are preparing for your own wedding or an important event, please tell us the date when booking. We can recommend the best treatment and timing rather than experimenting too close to the occasion. Any course, maintenance plan and total cost will be explained clearly before you commit.

Will I have any downtime?

It depends on the treatment. Dermaplaning, Dr Platon, standard radiofrequency and many of our Just For You combinations involve little or no downtime, so you can return to your usual day looking fresh.

Chemical peels may cause dryness or light flaking, depending on the strength selected. Microneedling causes temporary redness, but combining it with radiofrequency does not create a significantly longer recovery in our clinic because we use two separate devices and control each stage independently.

We will always explain what your skin is likely to look and feel like afterwards before treatment begins, particularly if you have work, photographs or an important event approaching.

If any redness remains, you can wear makeup from the following day after all of our skin treatments. We will give you clear aftercare instructions so you know when to restart your usual skincare and active products safely.

Can I have a treatment if my skin is sensitive or inflamed?

Possibly, but the treatment must be chosen carefully. Sensitive, rosacea-prone, acne-prone or inflamed skin does not always need stronger exfoliation. Sometimes the priority is calming the skin barrier and reducing irritation first.

If you are really struggling with your skin, we recommend booking a consultation with Kate. As an Independent Nurse Prescriber, she can assess the concern properly and advise whether prescription treatment may be needed before beginning a facial treatment plan.

Once your skin has been assessed, we may recommend Dr Platon, LED light therapy, gentle hydration, appropriate skincare or a carefully selected peel. For persistent redness, visible thread veins, pigmentation or certain types of acne, IPL may be the more suitable option and will require a consultation and patch test.

Will you recommend skincare as well?

Yes, if changing your home routine would help. Professional treatments work much better when your daily skincare supports what we are trying to achieve in the clinic.

We recommend products from several different skincare ranges and are not tied to one particular brand. This means we can select each product independently according to your skin, rather than trying to make one range suit everyone.

We believe in simple, effective skincare. You do not need an expensive ten-step routine that feels overwhelming and becomes difficult to maintain. We will explain what to keep, what may be irritating your skin and which products would genuinely add something useful.

We can also create a personalised GetHarley skincare plan, allowing you to view our recommendations and order your products online at your convenience. If your concern requires prescription skincare, Kate can assess and prescribe within her clinical competence.

OUR SIGNATURE SKIN APPOINTMENT

The Treatment You Don’t Have to Choose

Our Just For You Skin Treatment is ideal when you know your skin needs help but have no idea which facial to choose.

Your skin is assessed at the appointment, then your practitioner selects the techniques and products that will benefit it most that day. Depending on your skin, this may include dermaplaning, a chemical peel, deep cleansing and extractions, radiofrequency, electroporation, Dr Platon, hydration and LED light therapy.

We do not try to include everything. Each stage is chosen for a reason, and anything your skin does not need is left out.

Microneedling is the only treatment that cannot be added during this appointment because it requires additional time and preparation. If it is the best option for you, we will explain why and arrange a dedicated microneedling appointment.
