Why Begin Your Course Now?
Plan Ahead
Starting now gives you time to complete your sessions at the recommended intervals before next summer.
Less Sun Exposure
Autumn and winter generally make it easier to protect treated areas from tanning and unnecessary sun exposure.
Stay Consistent
Your 18-month pass provides plenty of time to follow your practitioner’s recommended treatment schedule.
What to Expect From Your Course?
Laser hair removal works gradually. Hair grows in different stages, and the laser is most effective when a hair is actively growing and connected to its follicle. This is why a course of treatments is needed rather than a single appointment.
Before Your Treatment
Your course begins with a complimentary consultation and patch test. We will assess your skin tone, hair colour, hair thickness, medical history and the areas you would like treated. We will explain how the treatment works, discuss realistic expectations and advise you how to prepare.
The patch test is purely a safety check. It allows us to monitor your skin for any unexpected reaction before treating a larger area. It does not show how effective the laser will be, predict your results or demonstrate how much hair reduction you will achieve.
Your first full treatment can take place after at least 48 hours, provided there has been no concerning reaction in the patch-tested area.
After Each Treatment
The skin may feel warm and appear slightly pink immediately afterwards. Small raised bumps around the hair follicles can also occur and are a normal temporary response to treatment.
Treated hairs usually begin to shed during the following one to three weeks. This can initially look as though the hair is continuing to grow, but it is gradually being released from the follicle. Allow it to shed naturally and continue shaving when needed.
Patchy Regrowth is Normal
You may notice smooth patches alongside areas where hair is still growing. This is expected because individual hairs are at different stages of their growth cycle when each treatment takes place.
Patchy regrowth does not necessarily mean that areas have been missed. The reduction should gradually become more even as your course progresses and further growth cycles are treated.
Between Your Sessions
You may shave between appointments, but please do not wax, pluck or thread the treatment areas. These methods remove the hair from the follicle, leaving nothing for the laser to target at your next appointment.
Your treatments will be spaced according to the area being treated and your pattern of regrowth. Having sessions too close together will not improve your results.
Your Results
You should gradually notice that the hair grows back more slowly and becomes finer, softer and less dense. Results vary depending on factors including hair colour, hair thickness, skin tone, hormones and consistency with your recommended treatment schedule.
Laser hair removal provides long-term hair reduction rather than guaranteeing that every hair will be permanently removed. Some clients may benefit from occasional maintenance treatments after completing their initial course.
Laser Course FAQs
Do I need a consultation before starting?
Yes. Every course begins with a complimentary consultation and patch test. This allows us to assess your suitability, explain the treatment and check your skin for any unexpected reaction. Your first full treatment can take place after at least 48 hours, provided there has been no concerning reaction.
How many treatments are included?
Each course includes six treatments for every area listed. For example, Bare Essentials includes six Hollywood treatments and six underarm treatments.
Treatments cannot be exchanged for different areas or transferred to another person.
Will six sessions remove all of my hair?
Most clients find that six sessions provide an excellent reduction in hair growth. However, those with particularly dense, coarse hair or hormonally influenced hair growth may occasionally need a few additional treatments to achieve their best result.
If this applies to you, you will not lose your package saving. We will continue to honour the same promotional discount, and any additional course you purchase for the same areas will be charged at the same discounted course price.
Results vary between individuals, and occasional maintenance treatments may still be required.
How often will I have my treatments?
Your treatments will usually take place every six weeks. Hair grows at different rates across the body, with leg hair generally growing more slowly than hair in the underarm and intimate areas.
As these courses combine several treatment areas, six-week spacing gives the slower-growing leg hair more time while providing the best opportunity to treat hair in each area during its active growth stage.
For the best possible outcome, we recommend attending consistently and following the schedule advised by your practitioner.
Can I remove hair between appointments?
Yes, you can shave whenever needed. Please do not wax, pluck or thread the treatment areas because this removes the hair from the follicle, leaving nothing for the laser to target.
Is laser hair removal suitable for everyone?
Suitability depends on your skin tone, hair colour, hair thickness, medical history and other individual factors. Laser works by targeting pigment within the hair, so white and grey hairs cannot usually be treated effectively.
If you are considering laser hair removal, it is worth beginning while your hair still contains plenty of natural pigment. Once an individual hair turns grey or white, the laser may no longer be able to target it successfully. We will assess your hair and skin honestly during your consultation before you commit to a course.
