Medical Microneedling (Collagen Induction Therapy)

Medical microneedling is a safe and effective skin rejuvenation treatment to treat various skin conditions and restore the healthy youthful appearance of skin, by stimulating the natural production of collagen and elastin.

With minimal downtime and no injectables, this non-invasive procedure is growing in popularity. Micro needling is just as effective as ablative treatments such as laser resurfacing, dermabrasion and deep chemical peels, but is much less invasive and does not require the removal of the epidermis and so healing is shorter.

Micro needling is also one of the few skin therapies that is suitable for treating all skin types, including most ethnic skin (subject to testing) and the more delicate skin around the mouth and neck. It can also be used on the body for burns, scars and stretch marks.

Micro needling is one of the best ways to stimulate the synthesis and production of collagen. Through controlled micro needle insertions of the dermis layer of the skin, micro injuries are created. This induced superficial trauma triggers new collagen synthesis to regenerate and thicken the skin, yet does not pose the risk of permanent scarring.

The skin is numbed prior to treatment. Skin is double cleansed to prep the skin. Medical grade mesotherapy serums designed for injectable purpose are applied to the skin to be integrated into the skin with the Raffine microneedling pen. The sterile needles are made of titanium to ensure they remain sharp throughout the procedure comfort. The skin is flooded with the mesotherapy serum for optimum absorbtion and an anti-inflammatory face mask with Hyaluronic acid is applied. A facial massage with ice globes on top of the mask is given to relieve the skin of heat and inflammation and let the skin cool and settle before your departure.
